“Pretty Good” Doesn’t Cut It

Whenever I meet with my clients one of the first things I always ask them is how their diet is.

The one answer that drives me crazy is “pretty good.”

What exactly does “pretty good” mean?

Does it mean you only ate half a pizza instead of a whole one?

Does it mean you only ate a whole pizza and skipped out on the ice cream dessert?

Does it mean you had one cookie?

You get the idea.

The only real acceptable answers that I am looking for is, “it’s 100%, perfect, bang on, killed it, etc.)

The people who constantly give me “pretty good” as an answer rarely reach their goals.

Also, when people tell me “pretty good” the question always comes to mind is why only “pretty good?”

Whats the reasoning?

Sure there will be certain circumstances that will have to break the diet but for certain people its a regular occurrence.

When it comes to diet for me “pretty good”=”pretty crappy”

Like with anything in life, do it right or don’t do it at all.

That’s how I see it.
