“I Quit Eating Sugar And Gained Weight!”

Once again I was in the Fb weight loss groups and a woman was frustrated that she quit eating sugar and bread for a whole month and gained weight.

My exact (and right) answer to that was, “you still have to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight.”

It doesn’t matter what foods you cut or how many meals in a day you eat the bottom line is: you have to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight period.

If all you ate was pizza and ice cream every day but were in a calorie deficit you would lose weight. (It wouldn’t be healthy, you probably wouldn’t feel good, you would probably be hungry, the volume would be small because it is calorie dense…but yes you would lose weight.)

This woman probably cut all her sugar and bread but was eating way too much calories probably from fats.

Also if you are in any of those FB weight loss groups beware there is a lot of BAD advice given on there lol.
